AMR are one of the few companies in the UK to specialise in the supply, transport, installation and re-conditioning of Letterpress and Printmaking equipment.

With over 40 years joint experience, the company has grown from a direct link with the establishment of the renowned Printing House Museum in Cockermouth, Cumbria, a showcase for Hand Presses, Treadle Presses, Etching Presses and Type Casting machinery.

AMR offer a full range of services including: The safe transportation of presses within the UK and Europe including dismantling, re-installation and print testing. AMR has also carried out a number of re-location projects for educational establishments within the UK.

Sourcing and supply of presses and related equipment for Printmaking, small presses, hobby printing and bookbinding.

A reconditioning and maintenance service including engineering and supply of replacement parts if necessary. We are more than happy to assess a machine and give our opinion. Service plans are also available if desired.

AMR are proud to announce that they have moved into a new larger premises in the South Lakes countryside. Based on a rural farm complex surrounded by the Lakeland fells with easy access and parking for visitors. After a long search for suitable premises we found the site at Gatebeck to be excellent. The site is within easy reach of the M6 junction 36. We can now offer bigger and better restoration facilities and engineering at our fully equipped workshop.

AMR have also added to our fleet of vehicles upgrading the service van to a larger vehicle enabling us to carry an even more comprehensive travelling workshop. This is in addition to our purpose built larger vehicle with tail-lift which tackles the most difficult of removal jobs with ease.
